You were taught that atheism means the denial of God/gods. You were also socially conditioned to destroy the symmetry breaker between agnosticism and atheism by combining them into “agnostic-atheist” without a single thought of coherency…

but have you ever considered what it entails?

If atheism is merely the rejection of a particular god—the God of Abraham, the gods of mythology, or any conscious, willing deity—then you still require an ultimate. A foundation. A unifying ontic. Something that is. Something that everything else depends on.

Some of you say, “Reality just is.

But imagine if someone said, “God just is.

The very reasoning you use to justify existence—accepting reality as self-evident, without further explanation—becomes unacceptable when applied to God. If you allow yourself to ground existence in a brute fact, yet deny others the same method when speaking of God, then you are not reasoning. You are evading.

Respectfully, that is pitifully dishonest.

What is “just is” if not a statement of something ultimate?

If reality is self-sufficient, eternal, and the basis of all existence, then you have not truly abandoned the concept of an Absolute—you have simply refused to call it divine.

This is Monism.
