Dear Person,

Have you ever stood between who you are and who you wish to be? That space—the stretch between your I and your myself—is the quiet battleground of every soul.

“I” is the dreamer, the voice that says, “I will.” It reaches forward, hoping, longing, believing.

“Myself” is the reality, the footsteps left behind. It is what you have done, what you have become.

Yet neither stands alone. Without I, there is no vision. Without myself, there is no proof you ever tried.

That leaves “Me” never alone.

To live well is to let I and myself hold hands, to close the space between intention and action. To say, “I will”--and then become.

Who you are is not just what you dream, nor just what you have done. It is the path you walk between the two.

Walk as well as you will.
