This letter is for those who deny Christ because of the “bad” things in the Old Testament,

You love to quote the Old Testament while trying to debunk Christianity, huh?

Is it because you believe in it? Nah.

Perhaps you care about historical context. That’s not it.

You strive for a greater comprehension of Goodness…right?

No—you quote it for one reason: you hate it.

You dig through Leviticus, Deuteronomy, and Exodus, pulling out verses like weapons. You bring up Leviticus 25:44-46, thinking you’ve “proven” that the Bible endorses slavery. You mention Deuteronomy 22:28-29, twisting the Hebrew legal system to claim it “forces women to marry their rapists.” You cherry-pick 1 Samuel 15:3, calling God a “monster” for ordering the destruction of Amalek.

But here’s the problem: these are not exclusively Christian texts.

They are exclusively Jewish texts, however.

The very scriptures you call “evil” are the foundation of Judaism. The Torah, the Nevi’im, the Ketuvim—this is the Hebrew Bible, the Tanakh, the most sacred writings of the Jewish people.

And yet, you never say these things about Jews.

Are you…afraid?

What are you afraid of?
