Atheists claim to be people/persons.
What’s the evidence?
What if someone dared to say…
prove it.
Atheists may be people—if “people” means nothing more than a group of humans or apes.
The word people (populus) has always referred to a collective, a population, a gathered mass.
However, a person (persona) is something different—an individual who is known, relational, and recognized as more than a mere biological entity.
To be a person is to have meaning beyond a label, to be more than just another member of the herd.
Well,
At the very least—atheists are humans…right?
If an atheist is the lack of belief in God, then rocks, trees and water are also atheists.
So…no. An atheist is not necessarily a human…
and if an atheist is not necessarily a human, then what is it…?
